Angel M Rios, MD, FACOG

About

Angel M. Rios, MD, FACOG, is a native of Puerto Rico and graduated with distinction from The University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras, with a degree in chemistry. He earned his medical degree from The University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, and completed his internship and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at University District Hospital in San Juan.

Dr. Rios brings a wealth of experience in women’s health care. He is board certified and has been a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists since 1994. Prior to joining El Paso Ob/Gyn, Dr. Rios had a private practice for many years where he built a strong reputation offering comprehensive care to the women of El Paso. He also previously served as chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sierra Medical Center.

Dr. Rios has conducted research on topics such as pre-eclampsia and has been invited to speak at numerous medical conferences. Outside of work, he has volunteered in the community and held leadership roles in professional organizations, including past-president of the El Paso County Medical Society and El Paso County delegate to the Texas Medical Association.
